Our taxi packages in Sikkim are cab-only plans: a private vehicle with driver for a fixed itinerary, with an indicative per-vehicle budget so you can plan before requesting a written quote. Hotels and meals stay in your control (or ask us for a full tour package with accommodation).
Sikkim taxi packages at a glance
Gangtok local sightseeing taxi
Choose a realistic set of Gangtok stops, with time for lunch and walking. A locally agreed route is more useful than an unqualified “all points” promise.

Pelling local sightseeing taxi
A Pelling day is best planned as a named circuit with an agreed pace. Compare a half-day outing with a full day if travelling with children or older relatives.

How a Sikkim taxi package is priced
Day packages (Gangtok sightseeing, Tsomgo & Baba Mandir, Pelling sightseeing) are quoted per vehicle for the day with a defined stop list. Multi-day packages (Lachung–Yumthang, North Sikkim with Lachen, Zuluk Silk Route) include the vehicle for the whole circuit and the driver’s overnight allowance; permit fees, entry tickets, Zero Point / Gurudongmar add-ons and the Yumthang–Zero Point extension are listed separately. The fare guide explains how our ranges are prepared.
Sample 5-day Sikkim taxi plan
- Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok transfer; evening on MG Marg.
- Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir excursion (permit); optional Nathula.
- Gangtok to Lachung via Seven Sisters Falls and Singhik viewpoint.
- Yumthang Valley morning; return to Gangtok.
- Gangtok to Bagdogra departure transfer.
Prefer the west? Swap days 3–4 for Gangtok to Pelling and a Pelling sightseeing day, returning via Pelling to Bagdogra.
Permits included in planning
Tsomgo, Nathula, Zuluk and North Sikkim require Protected Area Permits for Indian nationals (ID + photos, arranged a day ahead); foreign nationals need an Inner Line Permit for Sikkim and have restrictions on some routes. Every package quote states what is arranged and what you must carry — see the permit guide.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a North Sikkim taxi package cost?
Indicatively ₹11,000–14,000 per SUV for a 1-night/2-day Lachung–Yumthang plan and ₹18,500–22,000 for a 2-night/3-day Lachen–Lachung circuit, excluding permits, tickets and hotels. Your written quote confirms the final figure.
Are hotels included in Sikkim taxi packages?
No — taxi packages cover the vehicle, driver and fuel for the agreed itinerary. If you would like accommodation included, ask for one of our tour packages or request a combined quote.
Can I customise a Sikkim taxi package?
Yes. Add or remove stops, change the number of days or combine Gangtok, North Sikkim, Pelling and Darjeeling in one plan. We re-quote per vehicle for the revised itinerary.
When is the best time for Sikkim taxi packages?
March–June for flowers and clear skies, October–December for mountain views. Yumthang and Nathula can close in heavy snow (Jan–Feb) and the monsoon (July–September) brings landslide risk; keep a buffer day in those months.
